The West Midlands Growth Company has appointed Sector Global since 2018 to support them in managing the Midlands UK presence to attract investments in the region. With just under 20 years’ experience of event planning and management experience in Cannes the team successfully delivered the following:
We created a layout concept for the Midlands UK 200 sqm pavilion to accommodate all the functionalities required within one space for the MIPIM week and also furnished and branded a large terrace as an outdoor meeting space. We produced a high finish, internal fit-out, working to strict brand guidelines and ensuring the build was completed within timescale and Reed Midem’s regulations.
In 2019, our audience recruitment strategy and campaigns helped attract a footfall of more than 3,500 visits from potential international and UK investors, property agents, developers and the media which was an increase of 18% on the previous year. 43 events took place in total inside the pavilion or other larger venues outside the exhibition grounds in the evenings.

Production of a high quality stand with high impact visuals to attract potential investors in the South West region.
The Sector team designed and built the Invest Bristol & Bath’s exhibition stand at the Paris Air Show under the South West Aerospace brand. The stand space was located in the UK pavilion area where we showcased the strength of the aerospace sector in the South West. A large map including logos of the main aerospace companies based in the region was a powerful tool and created awareness of the prominence of the aerospace sector in the region to international visitors.

Delivery of high quality meetings to increase trade between UK suppliers based in the Midlands and buyers from India.
DIT appointed Sector to deliver the Meet the Buyer – Explore India event at Holywell Park Conference Centre in Loughborough. The event was part of a trade mission held over three days for a selected group of hosted buyers from India in four industry sectors:
The suppliers were recruited via direct marketing by Sector and given access to our secure online meetings portal to book meetings with relevant buyers in advance of the event with the support of the Sector team to guide them in finding the right business opportunities.
The Explore India, Meet the Buyer Event was a high-quality networking event that hosted 157 meetings with 22 buyers who took worthwhile meetings with relevant suppliers from the Midlands region. The quality of the meetings was rated at 4 out of 5* by buyers and suppliers.

We maximised the capacity of the venue to deliver a very well attended conference and an interactive expo.
The Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP contracted Sector Global to deliver their annual conference in 2018. The event’s objective was to provide an update on the current economic issues in the region, what was achieved during the past year and consider what the future holds for the LEP and the region in general. Part of the event was an expo to highlight a range of projects.
