## About the role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on IT manager to take responsibility for our internal IT systems, device management and technical infrastructure.

At Sector Global, we deliver international event services and develop technology used at major trade shows and conferences around the world. Our business combines everyday corporate IT with specialist technology, including interactive kiosks, digital signage and mobile applications.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving systems and making technology work better for everyone.

You'll manage our Microsoft 365 environment, maintain and secure our fleet of Apple and Windows devices, support our business communications systems and help prepare, test and deploy technology for events.

You'll also work alongside our product and event teams, assisting with software testing, troubleshooting and the installation of interactive event technology.

We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable configuring a Microsoft Intune policy, troubleshooting a Mac, managing a phone system or setting up an interactive touchscreen at an international event.

## What you'll do

### Microsoft 365 and IT administration

- Manage and maintain our Microsoft 365 Business Premium environment, including user accounts, licensing, access permissions and security settings.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including identity management, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access and access controls.
- Manage Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange Online, supporting collaboration, communication and information management across the business.
- Maintain Microsoft Defender security configurations, monitor device protection and investigate security issues.
- Manage Microsoft Purview information protection features, including sensitivity labels and data protection policies.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring devices, accounts and permissions are correctly configured.
- Maintain documentation, IT policies and procedures, supporting our ISO 27001 certification and wider security compliance requirements.

### Device management and security

- Manage our Apple and Windows device estate using Microsoft Intune.
- Configure and maintain macOS, iOS, iPadOS and Windows device management policies.
- Manage device enrolment, application deployment, operating system updates and compliance monitoring.
- Administer Apple Business Manager and support automated Apple device provisioning.
- Troubleshoot device issues, resolve user support requests and maintain reliable endpoint performance.
- Implement and maintain device security controls, including encryption, endpoint protection and secure authentication.
- Identify opportunities to automate routine IT administration and improve operational efficiency.

### Interactive kiosks and digital signage

- Prepare, configure and maintain interactive touchscreen kiosks and digital signage systems used at international events.
- Configure Windows-based kiosk devices, including single-app operation, device lockdown and remote management.
- Install and troubleshoot touchscreen displays, compact PCs, peripherals and associated hardware.
- Test equipment, applications and connectivity before deployment to event venues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, networking and software issues affecting kiosk and display installations.
- Support the installation, configuration and operation of event technology on-site when required.
- Develop reliable processes for equipment preparation, deployment, testing and recovery.

### Business communications and software testing

- Administer our 3CX phone system, including users, extensions, call queues, routing, digital receptionists and SIP trunk configurations.
- Troubleshoot telephony issues and maintain reliable business communications.
- Support software quality assurance by testing web applications, mobile applications and interactive event technology.
- Carry out functional, regression and user acceptance testing, identifying and documenting bugs and usability issues.
- Work with our development team to reproduce problems, verify fixes and support software releases.
- Help evaluate new technologies, software solutions and AI tools that could improve business efficiency.

## What we're looking for

We're looking for a technically capable, organised and proactive individual who takes ownership of problems and enjoys finding practical solutions.

You'll need a broad understanding of modern IT systems, excellent troubleshooting skills and the confidence to work independently.

### Essential skills and experience

- Proven experience in IT administration, systems management or a similar hands-on technical role.
- Strong practical experience administering Microsoft 365 in a business environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, including device configuration, application deployment, compliance policies and operating system updates.
- Good knowledge of macOS and iOS/iPadOS device management, troubleshooting and security.
- Experience managing Windows devices and maintaining secure endpoint configurations.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, identity management, authentication and access controls.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender or equivalent endpoint security solutions.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi and general connectivity troubleshooting.
- Confidence installing, configuring and troubleshooting computer hardware, peripherals and display equipment.
- Ability to carry out structured software testing, investigate problems and document findings clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good communication skills and a patient, approachable manner when supporting colleagues.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.

### Desirable experience

- Advanced Microsoft Intune administration, particularly for Apple devices.
- Apple Business Manager and automated device enrolment.
- Windows kiosk mode, assigned access and locked-down device configurations.
- Interactive touchscreen displays, digital signage systems or audiovisual installations.
- Experience administering 3CX or other VoIP/PBX telephone systems.
- Microsoft PowerShell scripting and IT automation.
- Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels and information protection.
- Experience supporting ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials or similar information security standards.
- Software testing experience across web and mobile applications.
- Experience with AWS, Cloudflare or other cloud infrastructure services.
- Experience deploying and supporting technology at exhibitions, conferences or live events.

We don't expect you to have experience with every system we use. What's important is a strong technical foundation, a willingness to learn and the ability to take responsibility for finding and implementing solutions.

## Working at Sector Global

We're a friendly, collaborative company with an entrepreneurial approach to business. We encourage people to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions and take responsibility for the work they deliver.

You'll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of technologies, from enterprise IT administration and cybersecurity to interactive event installations and software testing.

This isn't a role where every day looks the same. You'll be involved in both the day-to-day operation of our IT systems and the development of new technical capabilities that support our business.

### What we offer

- Full-time or part-time employment, depending on experience and availability.
- 28 days' annual leave, including bank holidays, increasing to 33 days with length of service (pro rata for part-time employees).
- Office closure between Christmas and New Year.
- Company pension scheme.
- Cycle to Work Scheme.
- Regular team gatherings and social events.
- Free on-site parking.
- Opportunities for UK and international travel.
- The opportunity to work with a varied and continually evolving range of technologies.

## Location and eligibility

This is an office-based position at our headquarters in Clevedon, North Somerset.

We're open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with working hours to be agreed based on the successful candidate's experience and availability.

The role may involve occasional travel within the UK and internationally to support the preparation, installation and operation of technology at events.

A full, valid UK driving licence is essential, as the role may involve travelling to event venues and transporting equipment.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

No recruitment agencies, please.
